Boaters Pay Heed! Sea Hag Fun Run & Benefit Auction This Thursday

Boating. It's not like anyone really needs a reason. But boating for charity and a chance to win $5,000, that's something anyone can get behind. So, register for the Sea Hag Fun Run and fire up the boat this Thursday, Aug. 27.

It's different, it's fun, and you just might find some new favorite watering holes, all while raising money for Cannonball Run charities.

And don't be intimidated by thinking this fun run is for the performance guys only. The Sea Hag Fun Run is a come-one, come-all event for smaller boats, tooners, everyone who loves the water. After all, it's on the West Side.

This boating poker run starts with breakfast at 9 a.m. at Captain Ron's. Then fun runners will shoot out to:

• Bear Bottom
• Big Dick's Halfway Inn
• Bulldogs
• Nauti Fish
• Red Fox
• Lamplighter Resort
• Patriot's Point Marina

Then return to Captain Ron's.

Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drawings are from 4-6:30 p.m. Participants must be in line by 6 p.m.

Grand Prize: $5,000 cash

Every participant is also entered to win a ½-ounce gold coin ("Gold Doubloon") courtesy of Duncan Diamonds.
