The Overland Park Boat Show starts this Thursday, bringing a bit of Lake of the Ozarks to Kansas City! The only recreational boat show in the Kansas City area, the Overland Park Boat Show is a great place for boaters across the Midwest.
The show starts Thursday, Jan. 28 and runs through Sunday, Jan. 31. It’s the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association's (LOMDA's) first boat show of the year, and marine dealers from across the Lake area will be in attendance, including Big Thunder, All About Boats, Marine Max, Premier 54, Surdyke Yamaha, Formula Boats of Missouri and many more. Boat dealers say they are excited to show boaters the newest makes and models, at special boat show prices.
LakeExpo.com caught up with a few marine dealers as they busily prepared for the show, and got a peek at some of the many boats they'll be bringing.
Big Thunder Marine
Big Thunder is bringing its Virtual Boat Show to Overland Park with 2 large booths that will have at least one boat from each of the Lake-area titan's 9 brands, plus a new brand being launched for the first time at Lake of the Ozarks! (Big Thunder is launching this new brand and model on Thursday. It's a surprise—complete with countdown timer at BigThunderMarine.com, but they promise the arrival will make for an exciting boat show!)
Big Thunder will be bringing tritoons from Crest, Manitou, and JC Tritoons, Mastercraft wake sports boats, the luxurious Chris Craft with their new model the Calypso 35, two Fountain Center Consoles, the popular Monterey 378 bowrider. The big reveal will come in the form of a brand-new 40' outboard boat with two cabins and an open bow. "This will be an amazing boat for Lake of the Ozarks," Big Thunder GM Jeremy Anderson hinted.

Surdyke Yamaha
Surdyke Yamaha will be bringing the all-new-for-2021 Yamaha 255, along with Yamaha 252 S, and the AR 195.
They will also be bringing two Four Winns to showcase the brand's HD lineup. One is a 24-footer and the other is in the 27-foot class. The 285 Scarab, all new for 2021, featuring nearly every option, will be on display, and Surdyke Yamaha will have two 2021 G3 tritoons to showcase.
And—as always—they will be bringing plenty of WaveRunners, featuring the 2021 model changes and flashy new color and stereo options.
