LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. - A woman was seriously hurt Saturday evening when she collided with a boat propeller on Lake of the Ozarks.Â
Sophie Mount, 24, of Greenwood, Mo., was in a 2023 Lowe Pontoon at 5 p.m., May 25, when she ended up in the water at a dock off of Klehr Kove Circle in Camden County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
There are inconsistencies between the MSHP report and the account given by the victim. According to the report, Mount "left the vessel voluntarily... and the propeller struck (her)."
According to Mount's account given to LakeExpo over the phone, she "fell" into the water where her body and the propeller collided, causing her injuries.Â
The report also attributed the boat's direction as northbound, but described the disposition of the vessel as, "secured at the dock."
Also, according to the MSHP report, Mount was taken by Lake West Ambulance to University Hospital.Â
Mount said she was transported by helicopter to University Hospital.Â
Mount sustained serious injuries from the incident.Â
