LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — An all-terrain vehicle gave up the terrain for the water, when it took a plunge in the Lake on Wednesday.

According to Captain Charles Meyer, of Lake Tow, the owner of a Polaris RZR was hauling a heavy load of mulch to an area near his seawall. But on the steep grade, the ATV’s brakes wouldn’t hold, Meyer says, and the ATV plunged into the water. The driver leapt from the vehicle before it went over the seawall.

There were no injuries reported, and Tim McNitt of Atlantis Dive & Dock Salvage helped pull the ATV out of the water. Meyer noted the key was actually turned off when the ATV entered the water, increasing the chances that it will run again someday soon.
