Lighting and plumbing fixtures can give a home its unique character. But shopping for them—whether you’re planning an update or a new build—can be a confounding process.
Lake Winsupply in Camdenton helps homeowners imagine what their space can be, and with their brand-new showroom, the possibilities are all around, when customers walk in. Lake Winsupply’s new showroom is a dazzling display of decorative lighting and plumbing fixtures. From bath fixtures to chandeliers, the whole room sparkles with chrome and lights.
“The showroom is incredible. There’s nothing like it at the Lake,” said Christine Britain, showroom manager.

Lake Winsupply opened in 1993 as a plumbing supplier, and they housed a small showroom since merging with Lake WinLectric in 2015. That merger added decorative lighting to their repertoire. The new state-of-the-art showroom is the next step in displaying the best the Lake has to offer in lighting and plumbing.
Britain had worked in decorative lighting and plumbing in Kansas City since the late 90’s. She took a break in 2014 when she moved to Lake of the Ozarks, but when she noticed a sign on the corner of Pier 31 road and Highway 5 seeking a showroom consultant, she couldn’t say no. With more than 20 years in the business, there aren’t many questions Britain can’t answer.
Britain and Lake Winsupply President Chris Brenemen worked together to create the best—and only—high-end showroom of its kind at the Lake of the Ozarks. Britain worked for two years procuring for the perfect merchandise for the new space. But she emphasizes that even with custom designs and meticulously tailored products, high-end doesn’t have to mean expensive.
“I have something for everyone in this showroom. No matter what your budget is, we have it,” Britain said.
Britain offers individual assistance to customers who make an appointment to see the showroom. She spends time looking over the blueprints of the home to take size into consideration, even offering on-site visits at no extra cost so she can see the home before making any recommendations.
“We take the homeowner's space and lifestyle into consideration: if they like low-maintenance or luxurious. It’s all about space and going from there,” Britain said.
For anyone looking to re-vamp their home, Britain recommends starting with an aesthetic in mind for the space you are working on. She encourages customers to come in with their Pinterest boards at the ready, so she can match clients' styles with the perfect fixtures.
“My job is to help customers reach their exact vision for their home. We get people coming in for everything from remodeling their bathrooms to be more elderly-friendly or just looking for a new, fresh look in their kitchen,” Britain said. “It’s really fun to help someone find exactly what they want.”
