CAMDENTON, Mo. — The Camdenton Board of Aldermen on Tuesday directed City Attorney Phil Morgan to revise a dangerous dog ordinance for the board’s consideration in February.
This signaled the Board’s consensus to move from breed-specific or bully breed ordinances in the future.
The current city ordinance banning pit bulls came under scrutiny in November after resident Misty Brown was told she could not keep her American Bulldogs—which police say had some characteristics similar to pit bulls—inside city limits.
