LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Engineering of a system to address water-pressure issues at three condominium complexes at the end of Shawnee Bend is underway.

TT Sewer Company has worked out a program that will resolve the problem at a cost below initial estimates. The first step is expenditure of about $8,000 in engineering costs for the tank-and-pump system. TTSC has engaged Lake Ozark Environmental and plans for the upgrade are expected to be complete in about 45 days, clearing the way for work to begin. Required permits from the Department of Natural Resources are being obtained. The project is expected to cost a total of about $70,000.

Westside Bay Condominiums representatives last week agreed to cooperate with TTSC, clearing the way for upgrades to the system that will satisfy concerns of the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District regarding sprinklers in the condominium buildings. Nantucket Bay Condominium owners and representatives of Nantucket Rentals had earlier agreed to share costs for the upgrades.

The TTSC water and sewer system was initially designed to service various phases of Nantucket condominium development. After the Westside Bay septic system failed in 2012 a federal judge ordered TT Sewer Company to connect Westside Bay condominiums to the sewer and water systems.
