LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A child was saved by CPR on Labor Day weekend after nearly drowning in a pool at a waterfront restaurant/bar.
Just before 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, emergency responders were dispatched to Coconuts At The Lake, with the report of a child that had been pulled from one of the pools at the popular waterfront business. Gravois Fire Protection District and Lake West Ambulance responded.
Details are sparse from the dispatch log, but discussion between the dispatcher and medical personnel reveals someone administered CPR on the child, and shortly after, the child was “awake and breathing.”
No one was available at either of the emergency agencies to provide further details about the incident, and the person at Coconuts who LakeExpo spoke with said they preferred not to comment on the situation.
