The Community Foundation of the Lake has opened applications for the Karen Jean Rudek Grant Round, which provides funding to horse and dog shelters, sanctuaries, and rescue facilities across the Lake area.
The grant, created through the Karen Jean Rudek Trust, honors Rudek’s legacy of compassion and commitment to animal welfare. Nonprofits serving Camden, Miller, and Morgan counties are eligible to apply for grants ranging from $500 to $10,000. Funds must be used for the care and operation of horse and dog rescue programs, excluding salaries, utilities, and rent.
