CAMDENTON, Mo. – City officials, project partners, and community members gathered together on Tuesday to mark an exciting milestone for the new Camdenton Community Center with a groundbreaking ceremony.
Mayor McNabb welcomed guests and shared the City’s vision for the project, emphasizing the importance of creating a space that will serve residents of all ages for years to come.
The plan is for a 14,000 sq ft community center to be located next to the Camdenton Aquatic Center in the Camdenton Park. The center will have a full-size gym, a full walking track, a reception area, and a large community room. The 150-person capacity community room will be available to rent and will offer a warming kitchen for caterers to bring food in for events. The bathrooms will be equipped with showers.
The projected construction cost is approximately $4.5 million.
Brandon Wall, the project contractor from Nabholz Construction, also provided remarks highlighting their commitment to delivering a quality facility that will benefit the entire community.
Joining the ceremony was Missouri State Representative Jeff Vernetti, who spoke about the positive impact the new center will have on local families, seniors, and youth programs, as well as its role in supporting Camdenton’s continued growth.
The Camdenton Community Center will feature multipurpose rooms, recreational space, event facilities, and more. It is expected to be finished in June. Construction is officially underway, and updates will be shared with the public as the project progresses.
“This center will be more than just a building—it will be a gathering place that strengthens the bonds of our community,” said Mayor McNabb.
