The 37th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is set for August 23–24, bringing high-speed thrills, community celebrations, and a new race location at Dog Days Bar & Grill. The nation’s largest unsanctioned offshore powerboat race will feature boats topping 200 mph, with proceeds benefiting local charities.
While the Shootout’s main races take place Saturday and Sunday, events begin the weekend before. The move to Dog Days brings the course closer to Lake Regional Hospital and modern amenities, which organizers say will improve safety and accessibility for racers and spectators.
Spectators can watch in person by boat in designated no-wake zones or from the shore at Dog Days. Here's the plan for parking.
Part of the no-wake zone will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on race day, while a portion of the Grand Glaize Arm will have no-wake until sunset.
For those watching from home, live race coverage will air on Mix 92.7 FM radio plus stream on Facebook and YouTube, with a full broadcast schedule posted at lakeoftheozarksshootout.com.
