LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A 20-year-old Eldon woman was hospitalized with serious injuries on Sunday after her boat exploded.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Christina Parker was launching a 2002 Polaris at a boat ramp, at the 2.7 Mile Marker of the Gravois Arm. Parker attempted to start the PWC when “a mechanical failure” caused it to explode, the Patrol reported.
The boat burned and sank, according to the report, and Parker had serious injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.
