LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A man was airlifted on Monday when his PWC and a boat collided.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Charles Phelps, of Holts Summit, was driving a 1998 Arctic Jet Ski, and 25-year-old Tyler Crocker was driving a 1992 Wellcraft Runabout on Monday evening near the 4 Mile Marker. The Patrol says both were “operating in a careless and imprudent manner.”
The PWC traveled into the path of the Wellcraft, the Patrol reports, and was hit by it. Phelps sustained serious injuries and was flown by MU Air to University Hospital for treatment.
