Not all dock companies are the same.
Elite Dock & Fabrication office manager Sherie Monteer remembers one homeowner who reached out to Elite after another company had done a roof raise… really, really poorly.
"It was basically falling apart," Monteer recalled. “Our guys went in and redid the project the right way. The customer’s neighbor saw the work they did and was so impressed, he wanted similar improvements for his own dock."
For the team at Elite Dock & Fabrication, that commitment to quality has helped the family-owned company earn repeat customers and referrals since opening four years ago. Owned by Dustin Monteer, Justin Kliethermes and Seth Jacobs, the company specializes in new dock construction, roof raises, dock repairs and dock renovations, including converting wood-decked docks to concrete.

At the Lake of the Ozarks, the dock is where the party is. No longer simply a place to tie up the boat, today's docks have become entertainment hubs and gathering spots for family and friends. Building a dock that can stand up to years of heavy use and the harsh Missouri elements starts with choosing the right builder. Elite Dock & Fabrication has earned a coveted reputation at the Lake for high-quality craftsmanship, hands-on service and commitment to treating customers right.
"We do high-quality work and stay in communication with our customers throughout the process," said Sherie Monteer, office manager for the company. "Our goal is to have every customer completely satisfied with the work."
One of the company's biggest points of pride is building docks designed specifically for the conditions of each property. "Our docks are built to be structurally sound," Monteer said. "We consider several factors before building your dock including where you live on the Lake and what the water is like, whether that's rough water or calmer conditions."
That attention to detail has led many customers to return for additional projects, such as dock additions and storage sheds.
With extensive experience in welding and construction, Elite Dock & Fabrication doesn't rely on subcontractors to complete its projects. “The owners will be the ones building your dock,” Monteer said.

The process begins with an on-site visit and a free estimate. Customers are welcome to meet with the team in person, but if they can't be there, Elite Dock & Fabrication will discuss the project by phone while evaluating the property. Once the estimate is approved and a contract is signed, the project is added to the schedule.
"We're good at sticking to the schedule," Monteer said. "We either hit the mark or end up getting there sooner than expected."
Based in Eldon and serving customers throughout the Lake area, Elite Dock & Fabrication hopes to become the first call property owners make when they need dock construction, repairs or improvements.
"We want to be everyone's go-to dock builder," Monteer said.
