LAKE OZARK, Mo. — Jeep owners are expected to gather en masse with their famously ducked-out windshields, at the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend.
Much of the action centers on the Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark on Friday, and police say the Strip will be closed to thru-traffic for most of the day.
Police Chief James Boren says the Strip will be closed after the morning school drop-off traffic ends, at Heritage Elementary School. And drivers should expect the Strip to be closed pretty much all day. Boren said it will be reopened likely after dark on Friday night, depending on crowds and what's happening with the event.
However, the closure is only on Friday: the Strip will be open to traffic for the rest of the weekend.
