High Brothers Lumber: The Lake’s One-Stop Home Improvement Store

High Brothers Lumber & Millwork has been a cornerstone at Lake of the Ozarks since 1978, but if you think they just sell wood, think again. The family-owned business is undergoing a major showroom remodel to better serve contractors and homeowners looking for quality home improvement products—without the drive to big-box stores.

"We’ve traditionally operated as what I’d call a ‘pro yard,’ primarily serving building professionals," said Jim High, CFO of High Brothers Lumber. "But with our 27,000-square-foot showroom, we’re embracing the role of a full-service home improvement store. We want the community to know they don’t need to drive 20 minutes out of town—we’ve got what they need right here in Camdenton."

Need supplies? Shop online for your home project needs! Whether it's cordless power tools, patio furniture, or paint, High Brothers can get what you need.

High Brothers is located at 259 Old South 5, Camdenton, MO, 65020

From windows and doors to decking and even plumbing essentials like toilet repair kits, High Brothers is expanding its offerings and ensuring customers can find everything they need locally. And it’s not just about products—it’s about service.

"What really sets us apart is our customer service," High said. "Our team is experienced and ready to help you find exactly what you need. Even if you just have a general idea of your project, we’ll work with you to sort out the details—and the cost."

Another area where High Brothers excels? Delivery.

"We operate the largest delivery fleet at the Lake, and in many cases, we can deliver orders the very same day," High said. "Several customers have made the switch to us after experiencing two-day+ wait times from other lumber yards."

"Our website makes it easy to shop online, with options to ship directly to your home or to our store for pickup," High said. "Even if an item isn’t in stock in our store, you can still order it and have it delivered straight to you or ready for pickup right here."

High Brothers has been the trusted supplier for major projects in the area, including Lake Valley’s recent pro shop, restaurant, and bar renovation. But they want homeowners to know they’re just as welcome as the pros.
