MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. — Four people have been arrested following the investigation of a man who led police on a chase last month, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.

Richard Mullins, 23, of Gravois Mills, was arrested on Feb. 27, 2017 along with 37-year-old Brandon Van Blaricon of Clinton, Mo.

Mullins is charged with Felony 1st Degree Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Felony Resisting Arrest, two counts of Misdemeanor Assault, and a count of Misdemeanor Failure to Yield.

As of March 2, CaseNet showed no charges listed for Van Blaricon.

On Feb. 21, sheriff’s deputies were pursuing a stolen vehicle they say was driven by Mullins. The vehicle was recovered, unoccupied, but the suspect evaded arrest.

Authorities say when deputies returned to the house where the chase began, they found meth, heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and arrested Janet Mills and Pamela Englehart at the residence. Both women were charged with possession of a controlled substance with bond set at $20,000.

During the investigation, authorities developed Mullins as a suspect. On Feb. 27, deputies say they learned Mullins was operating a stolen Corvette in the Clinton, Mo. area and that he was headed to a residence in Stover.

A four-man arrest team was deployed to that residence.

The arrest team approached Mullins and Van Blaricon as they exited the vehicle at the Stover residence on Monday evening, and they say both men resisted arrest, with one fleeing on foot.

There was a short foot chase and struggle, authorities say, and both men were taken into custody.

In searching the vehicle, authorities reportedly found meth, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun that was suspected to be stolen.

Authorities say the owner of the stolen Corvette was not aware that the vehicle had been stolen until contacted by the Morgan Sheriff’s Office.
