CAMDENTON, Mo. — A local woman is facing six felony charges after authorities say she tried to bring drugs hidden in her bra into jail, following her arrest on other drug charges.

According to Investigator B. A. Pratt with the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group, Camden County Sheriff’s deputies were executing a search warrant at the home of 28-year-old Chelsie R. Ellis on May 25. Deputies reportedly found meth and drug paraphernalia but the investigator says while they were arresting Ellis, she accused them of planting evidence and “remained very belligerent and abrasive.” According to Pratt, he asked Ellis if she had anything illegal on her person, and she said she did not.

Ellis was taken to the Camden County Jail at around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, and she was searched by a Camdenton police officer. Pratt says that officer found a black zipper pouch concealed on the right side of Ellis’ bra. In it, Pratt says he found:

  • Three ziploc bags containing crystal meth
  • Five OxyContin pills
  • Two bags of marijuana
  • Three syringes containing a mixture of liquid and blood

Pratt says he also seized over $700 from Ellis.

According to the report, the following were seized from Ellis’ residence:

  • A package of syringes
  • Three digital scales with visible residue
  • A burnt marijuana cigarette
  • Marijuana pipes
  • Used syringes
  • Tooters (tubes often used for snorting drugs)
  • Ziploc bags

Ellis’ two children—a four-year-old and a one-year-old—were taken to a family friend, by the Division of Social Services.

Ellis is facing the following charges, according to CaseNet:

  • Class B Felony - Distributing/Intent to Distribute A Controlled Substance
  • Class C Felony - Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
  • Class C Felony - Delivering/Attempting To Deliver A Controlled Substance At A Jail
