Wonderland Camp's Boot Scootin' Boogie Returns With A Big Goal In Mind

  • 1 min to read

Wonderland Camp is getting ready to party with a purpose — and this year's major fundraiser will support one of the camp's biggest projects yet.

The Boot Scootin' Boogie will take over the Lodge of Four Seasons on Saturday, Nov. 7, raising money to support Wonderland Camp and its mission of providing accessible camp experiences for children and adults with disabilities.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with a gourmet dinner, open bar, silent and live auctions lead by Bryant Auction, mechanical bull riding, and live entertainment from Jordan Isakson.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available, plus Wonderland Camp is looking for additional auction items. Learn more and buy tickets here.

Wonderland is celebrating major progress on its planned accessible waterpark, with fundraising already past the halfway point toward the $800,000 project goal.

The new aquatic facility will replace Wonderland's aging pool and is being designed to create a safer, more accessible experience for campers of all abilities.

“This is the right time to make this investment,” Executive Director Jill Wilke said when the campaign was announced. “We know repairs are needed on our current pool, and we have an opportunity to put those dollars toward something that will serve our campers for generations. We don't simply want to fix what we have—we want to build something better.”

The campaign received a major boost from Willis and Peggy Hansen, who pledged a $400,000 dollar-for-dollar match toward the project. Eligible Missouri donors may also qualify for 70% Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits on donations.

The Boot Scootin' Boogie is a chance to enjoy a night out while supporting the experiences the camp provides year after year. The fundraiser is an important opportunity for Wonderland to invest in the future — and reach the waterpark goal.

Boot Scootin' Boogie begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Lodge of Four Seasons. Sponsor the event or get your tickets now.
