OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — November is Diabetes Month, and Lake Regional Health System invites the public to learn more about preventing and managing this serious disease at Diabetes Wellness Day. This free event will take place at Lake Regional Hospital in the third floor conference rooms from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 18.

Speakers will include Uzma Khan, M.D., and Mary Bohon, FNP, both from Lake Regional Endocrinology; Zubair Khan, M.D., FACC, from Lake Regional Heart and Vascular; and staff from Lake Regional Pharmacy. Lake Regional registered dietitians Tara Randle, M.S., R.D., L.D., CDE, and Wendy Castle, MPH, R.D., L.D., CDE, will provide healthy eating tips and a cooking demonstration.
