OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — A line of storms that blasted through central Missouri on Saturday evening left significant damage in its wake, at a commercial center in Osage Beach.
The area was under a tornado watch on Saturday evening, but it’s unclear whether a tornado or straight line winds caused the damage. The storm that came through between 7–8 p.m. seemed to have the highest intensity in the heart of Osage Beach, near the outlet mall, Dierbergs, and Kings Plaza, where Randy’s Frozen Custard is located.
A major section of the Kings Plaza strip center was damaged, evidenced by video taken Saturday evening, and the outlet mall sign appeared to be damaged, as well. Scanner traffic indicated broken vehicle windows in the Dicks Sporting Goods parking lot nearby, and trees blown down on Beach Dr.
