LAKE OZARK, Mo. — The annual Lake of the Ozarks Real Estate Symposium is a must-attend event for many within the real estate industry at the Lake. The annual event is set for Oct. 7, at Osage National Golf Club’s clubhouse, from 3 – 5 p.m. With the red-hot real estate market, the symposium promises to be an interesting one.
Number-crunchers get their fill at the annual event, as moderators Jeff Krantz and Jason Whittle, of RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks, get granular with the last 12 months’ worth of local and national data and compare/contrast it with prior periods.
Typically a special speaker — often a developer — is heard from at the symposium. This year, a panel put together by The Staenberg Group (TSG) will discuss the ongoing development of Osage Beach Commons, at the site of the old Happy Fisherman and Golden Door Motel, near the outlet mall in Osage Beach. Construction on the development is visible from Highway 54, with recent major retaining wall work showing signs of progress. The Staenberg Group has announced that Hobby Lobby will be the anchor store for the development.
Osage Beach entered into a Tax Incremental Finance (TIF) Agreement with TSG in September 2017. The development area covers approximately 14 acres and, in addition to the 50,000 square foot Hobby Lobby, Osage Beach Commons will add upwards of 45,000 square feet of new to market retailers and 3 outparcels along Osage Beach Parkway for new restaurant and retail opportunities.
The symposium is open to the public, but seating is limited and pre-registration is required. This is RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks’ 14th year to host the symposium, and this year’s event is sponsored by Guild Mortgage.
