OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — Last week, ground was broken at the site of the new Old Navy, next to Target, in the Prewitt's Point shopping center.
The general contractor is Bill Long Construction. According to Michael Feeback, a spokesperson for Prewitt's Point, utility work and engineering are underway. There is no opening date set yet.
“We are excited to add Old Navy to our retail mix,” Prewitt's Point representative Andy Prewitt said when the news about Old Navy's arrival first hit the Lake area. “They are a solid company with a big following so we expect there are a lot of people around the Lake who will be excited as well.”
Old Navy, which is named after a bar in Paris, was founded in 1994 by Millard Drexler. The store focuses on trendy but affordable clothing and has enjoyed international success. There are more than 1,000 Old Navy stores worldwide.
