Obituary of Warren Quinton Patterson
Warren Quinton Patterson, age 91, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. He was born in Ulman on January 11, 1930, son of the late James Willard and Ruth Elizabeth (Graves) Patterson.
Warren served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on January 9, 1953. He was a member of the fraternal order Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. He was known for his prosperous garden and took pleasure in sharing his crops with his family and friends. Warren loved spending time with his family and friends and spending time outdoors tending to his flowers and hunting.
He is survived by three children, Bobby Jo Gladden, Andy Patterson and wife Hannah, and Misty Patterson (Cody Leonard); eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four siblings, Elsie Yates, Donald Patterson, Marvin Patterson, and Carolyn Pryor; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Patterson and six brothers, Babe, Bob, James, Wendy, Maurice, and Harold “Pede” Patterson.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with funeral services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Friday, September 17, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Military honors will be held following the funeral service. A private interment will be held at Jackson Cemetery near Ulman.
