Obituary of Mary Frances Pepper

Mary Frances Pepper, age 94, of Columbia, formerly of Versailles, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020, at The Villa at Blue Ridge in Columbia. She was born April 3, 1926, in Gravois Mills, a daughter of the late Roy and Lula (Caywood) Meyer.

On September 18, 1949, in Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Harry Pepper who preceded her in death on February 12, 2017.

She was a member of the Versailles First Baptist Church.

Mary loved her family and treasured the time she spent with them, especially while vacationing together.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Griffin and husband David of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren, Jennifer Dixon of Columbia, Missouri and Shawn Griffin and wife Amanda of Clark, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Porter Onderbeke of San Diego, currently serving in the United States Navy and Paige Onderbeke of Columbia, Missouri and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mancil Meyer, sisters, Mildred Meyer, Shirley Meyer and Eula Meyer and a nephew, Gene Meyer.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 7th, in the Versailles Cemetery with Pastor Ken Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
