LAURIE, Mo. — Authorities are investigating a fire that destroyed a commercial structure near downtown Laurie on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Gravois Fire Protection District, crews were called out on Thursday at 3 p.m. A maintenance facility was found to be fully engulfed in flames, accompanied by several large explosions.
The call was quickly elevated to a 2nd alarm, and crews from seven agencies remained on scene for six hours. More than 90,000 gallons of water was required to extinguish the blaze. Â
No Injuries were reported, and the Thursday afternoon fire remains under investigation by GFPD and the Missouri State Fire Marshal.
