LAURIE, Mo. — Authorities are investigating a fire that destroyed a commercial structure near downtown Laurie on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Gravois Fire Protection District, crews were called out on Thursday at 3 p.m. A maintenance facility was found to be fully engulfed in flames, accompanied by several large explosions.
The call was quickly elevated to a 2nd alarm, and crews from seven agencies remained on scene for six hours. More than 90,000 gallons of water was required to extinguish the blaze.
No Injuries were reported, and the Thursday afternoon fire remains under investigation by GFPD and the Missouri State Fire Marshal.
