The long-awaited announcement of the release date for Season 3 of Netflix's award-winning show "Ozark" has finally arrived!

Despite expectations that we'd learn in 2019 when "Ozark" S3 would be binge-able, Netflix made fans wait until mid-January. So last week, Netflix officially announced the new season will release 10 episodes on March 27, 2020. The announcement came more than a year after disclosing on October 10, 2018 that filming of Season 3 had begun.

Prior to that 2018 announcement, fans were uncertain if they would even find out what happened after the Byrde’s opened their casino, as Netflix was killing off many of its original series shows after one or two seasons. But "Ozark" fans will have their questions answered.

The new season will likely revolve around Wendy and the casino, as the Season 2 finale ended with the riverboat casino opening and a power shift in the relationship between Wendy and Marty, when she overruled his decision to flee to Australia and get out from under the cartel. The third season will introduce several new characters, including Wendy’s brother Ben Davis, played by Tom Pelhrey, and Agent Maya Miller, played by Jessica Frances Dukes.

Cartel lawyer Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer) will become a main character in Season 3 as the show dives deeper into her role with the introduction of her daughter, played by Madison Thompson. Viewers can expect the exploration of Helen’s character as a mother will reinforce the bond between Helen and Wendy. With Helen's mentoring, we can expect Wendy to rise to her criminal potential while the two women work to balance their role as mother and criminals.
