Braedence Christian Jones

LACLEDE COUNTY, Mo. — A six-year-old boy from Camden County who has been considered missing and endangered since August 2018 was found alive, in an attic, in Laclede County on Tuesday.

Official details are sparse, but Camden County Sheriff’s Department Communications Director Arlyne Page said Braedence Christian Jones was found hidden in an attic, and his mother, Aubrey Ferguson, was taken into custody. No information on charges filed against Ferguson was immediately available.

Braedence’s father Ryan Jones has court-ordered custody through Camden County, but authorities say Ferguson had refused to return the boy to his father after her visitation.

On Tuesday evening, Jones' girlfriend Breanne Dominguez posted a series of Facebook posts showing Braedence reunited with his father. In one post, she wrote, "Ryan Jones and I want to personally thank the officers that have helped us on the case. Officer Strom & LT Arylne Page with Camden County Sheriff's Office they have been with us since day one and never stopped fighting or looking. We want to thank the Detective at Laclede County Sheriffs Office for all of her hard work and helping CCSD locate Braedence. We also want to thank every officer that has helped on the way and looked for him. Thank you all for bringing him home, you all will forever be in our hearts. we can’t thank you enough..."
