Amber Raye, Melissa Canales, Teresa Eliott and James Butterfield

CAMDENTON, Mo. – Camdenton R-III School District employees Amber Raye, Melissa Canales, Teresa Eliott and James Butterfield were recently recognized for receiving the April Classified Employee of the Week.

In announcing the award, the district said the following of Amber Raye, Melissa Canales, Teresa Eliott and James Butterfield

Amber Raye, Lake Career & Technical Center Secretary

Amber has taken on her new role as LCTC’s building secretary with a positive attitude and has worked tirelessly through changes in leadership, support team members, and a new instructor in the building. She has trained and supported others and has done it all with a smile on her face. Amber will stop to listen and help anyone with questions or concerns and has become a valuable asset to the LCTC team.

Melissa Canales, Camdenton High School Registrar

Melissa works extremely hard as the Camdenton High School registrar, orchestrating appointments, enrollments, transcript data entry, and so much more. She works with four counselors, parents, students, and administrators. Her work is critical for all incoming students and their families. She represents the district well as the first contact that the patrons encounter and she is appreciated for all that she does to make the process run so smoothly.

Teresa Elliott, Transportation Department Office Manager

Teresa’s interaction with the district transportation staff and parent communication is a refreshing attitude of caring; professionalism with a smile. Her passion, knowledge, and willingness to learn school transportation doesn’t go unnoticed. The district is thankful she is our Transportation Laker!

James Butterfield, Transportation Department Shuttle Bus Driver

James is one of the district’s shuttle bus drivers, so he is on campus for eight hours a day. He is also being used as a sub driver. He never knows what route he will be driving in the mornings or afternoons, yet he still has a smile on his face and kind words for everyone. Having someone like that meeting the students first thing in the morning may be what helps them throughout the day.

The Classified Employee of the Week is chosen through staff submissions. CCEA members recognize classified employees (support staff) who have made a difference in their field.
