MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — The human bones found in a wooded area of Miller County have been identified, according to the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, and they had been there since 2019.
The sheriff’s office says the bones are the remains of Timothy Nicholas, who was reported missing in 2019 after a single-vehicle collision on Witt Road. Nicholas had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest, the sheriff’s office says, and he left the scene of the accident before emergency personnel could arrive. Authorities say his remains were found about 3/4-mile from the site of the accident.
