CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A wild pursuit on Saturday night ended with a subject being arrested and charged with multiple felonies.
According to the Camden County Sheriff's Office, the night of Aug. 8, deputies were involved in a pursuit that started on Harvest Road, in Camdenton. During the pursuit, the driver who was fleeing allegedly attempted to run over a deputy and strike other vehicles with his vehicle.
The pursuit ended in Lake Ozark, when Lake Ozark Police disabled the vehicle using spike strips. But as the vehicle came to a stop in the area of Bagnell Dam Blvd. and Horseshoe Bend Pkwy., authorities say the driver, 32-year-old Brent A Wagner, fled. Eventually deputies tased Wagner and he was taken into custody without further incident.
Wagner was charged with:
-Felony 1st Degree Assault
-Felony Resisting Arrest
-2 counts Tampering with Physical Evidence
-5 counts traffic violations
His bond was denied, and he remains at the Camden County Correctional Facility.
