MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — Three people were hospitalized on Sunday morning following a crash on Highway 87.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 17-year-old female was driving a 1989 Chevy Cavalier and pulled into the intersection of Highway 87 and Route P. The truck, a 1997 Chevy 1500 driven by 22-year-old Collin Williams, of Osage Beach, hit the side of the Cavalier, and then traveled off the road and hit a utility pole and a highway sign, the Patrol reported. The driver of the Cavalier and her 17-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash and both were taken by private conveyance to Lake Regional Hospital. The Patrol says both of them were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Collin Williams had serious injuries and was taken by Miller County Ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the Patrol.
