OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — The future for the western half of Osage Beach Parkway will be the focus of an Osage Beach Board of Aldermen Special Meeting next week.
The meeting is set for April 27, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Osage Beach City Hall (1000 City Parkway).
The agenda includes consulting firm HDR’s presentation to the Board of Aldermen of the scope of work for the Osage Beach West Parkway Study that was developed based on the series of stakeholder and public meetings held in November and December.
The scope of work to be presented is a culmination of data gathering, stakeholder engagement, and two public meetings, conducted to better understand the conditions affecting the Osage Beach West Parkway corridor.
At the November 9 public meeting, the City’s consultant team heard a strong interest in a study that would examine ways to better market, physically improve, and increase economic development opportunities on the west side of the Parkway.
At the December 7 public meeting, the City’s consultant team focused on details surrounding six specific goals identified for the west side of the Parkway and the best way for them to be incorporated. The city says the input that was provided by stakeholders and the public was very informative and valuable to understanding the conditions that are affecting the corridor and the public’s vision for what may be needed.
For those who are not able to attend the meeting in person, a copy of the meeting minutes will be posted to the City’s website at http://www.osagebeach-mo.gov/.
