CAMDENTON, Mo. — The Camdenton School District’s Volunteers in Public Schools Program (VIPS) is looking for volunteers to provide a helping hand this school year.

The VIPS program consists of more than 200 volunteers, and the demand is still growing. Anyone in the community who is interested in listening to students read, helping teachers with classroom projects, serving as a library aide, providing clerical assistance, presenting a special talent or skill at the school, or just supporting school staff may call the Camdenton School District Office of Volunteer Services at 573-346-9243.

The assistance that VIPS volunteers provides helps make it possible for teachers to provide additional individualized attention to students, help reinforce skills, stimulate interest, and offer additional motivation that they ordinarily might not have the time or resources to accomplish.

The VIPS program reaches all schools in the Camdenton District. For more information on the VIPS program and how to participate, click here.
