LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. – The Community Foundation of the Lake has announced Amy Hernandez is the incoming president for the 2019-2020 term.
Amy has been on the CFL board for many years and has been an invaluable asset. Amy sits on several CFL committees and is instrumental in assisting in their efforts to raise funds for the Lake community.
In response to being named president, Hernandez said, “As a part of the CFL Board, I have had the opportunity to help numerous non-profit organizations. It is what makes the CFL so special. It is both inspiring and humbling to sit on this Board among such a caring group of Lake-minded individuals.”
Amy is a native of the Lake area and along with her husband, Peter, own La Roca Club – Event Venue. They share over 35 years experience in professional dance instruction and event planning. They now have a beautiful facility where they continue to teach dance and host events located right in the heart of Osage Beach. She has headed fundraising campaigns for the Forget Me Not Ball to fight Alzheimer’s disease for 10 years.
The CFL board said in the announcement, "Both Amy and Peter give selflessly of their time, talent and financial means to promote such causes near to their hearts and to make the Lake community an extraordinary place to live."
