CAMDENTON, Mo. – Camdenton R-III School District employees Tammy Zey, Katy Cason, Carol Straw, and Tony McDonald were recently recognized for receiving the September Classified Employee of the Week.
In announcing the award, the district said the following of Tammy Zey, Katy Cason, Carol Straw, and Tony McDonald:
The team at Dogwood Elementary works hard to make sure each day runs smoothly for the staff, students, and their families. Dogwood secretary Tammy Zey is especially helpful at assisting parents, maintaining the building calendar, and making sure the day-to-day tasks are completed and ready when everyone arrives for the day. She is truly a treasure and our building is so very blessed to have her.
Dogwood secretary Katy Cason is especially helpful at tracking attendance and discipline at Dogwood Elementary. She prepares the announcements each day and keeps track of all the birthdays in the building. Her energy and positivity are qualities that serve our staff, students, and families well. Katy is eager to jump in and help with any activity or events that we have going on in the building.
Carol Straw, Dogwood Elementary secretary, is especially helpful with enrollment and transportation. She enrolled over 100 new students in a three-week period. She is quick to inform administrators of custody and residential updates. She is appreciated for her dedication to Dogwood.
Oak Ridge Intermediate custodian Tony McDonald is always smiling as he cleans the hallways and floors. Using his own time and resources, he made a vinyl sign for the music room interior wall, and other vinyl signs for the hallway. He repeatedly goes above and beyond the scope of his job description in order to make this a better place.
The Classified Employee of the Week is chosen through staff submissions. CCEA members recognize classified employees who have made a difference in their field.
