LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — The Shootout is known for pushing the limits of speed, across every type of boat: catamarans, v-bottoms, center consoles, pontoons, and PWCs. This year’s race continued that tradition.

The fastest boat of the weekend, known as the Top Gun, was American Ethanol now for the sixth year in a row, with a 202 mph run. But “fast” means something different depending on your boat: 202 mph is blistering speed in a 51-foot catamaran, and 76 mph is face-stretching speed on a PWC. The common denominator is each run requires a solid boat and a gutsy driver at the throttles/steering. Here’s who came away with the top honors in each of the Shootout’s major classes, last weekend.
