LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A nighttime boat crash left a Lenexa, Kan. woman hospitalized on Sunday, Aug. 4.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 67-year-old David Gabert was driving a 2003 Sea Ray Sundancer downstream around the 6 Mile Marker of the Big Niangua Arm, just after midnight on Sunday, when the boat hit the shoreline. One passenger, 64-year-old Jeanne Gabert, sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by Mercy EMS to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
The boat had extensive damage, and was towed by Lake Tow. David Gabert was arrested on suspicion of Boating While Intoxicated.
