A truck caught fire Sunday afternoon in Osage Beach, but firefighters had it extinguished within minutes.
The blaze broke out around 12:27 p.m. at 1100 Hwy KK — the entrance to McDonald's. An Osage Beach Fire Protection District crew arrived within three minutes to find flames consuming the hood of a Dodge pickup. Using a single 1 3/4-inch hose line, they brought the fire under control in just 13 minutes.
The fire originated around the truck’s engine. An investigation could not determine the exact cause but found no human factors involved. The estimated property loss is $10,500.
No injuries were reported.
