LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. -- Two Macks Creek residents died in a collision with a concrete-pump truck Monday morning.

Kevin Huckabee was headed eastbound on Highway 54 at about 7:17 a.m. when a concrete truck allegedly turned into the path of the S10 Cheve pickup he was driving, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report issued April 21.

Huckabee was flown to St. John's Hospital with serious injuries and two passengers, Devin Clark and Dustin Vaughn, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Camden County coroner.

The driver of the concrete truck reported no injuries.

Troop F of the Highway Patrol has recorded 19 fatalities as of April 21.

" Just this past week I met these 2 fine young men while they were doing some exterior repairs to my home at Tan Tar A Estates. As they had been remodeling another home in the Estates, I was amazed at their abilities and work ethics for such young adults. Though I only knew them for a short time, they will be sadly missed. Regards and sympathy to the families and you will be in my prayers.
