Woman airlifted after fall from dock

Published: Friday, July 6, 2007 12:53 AM CDT
LAKE OF THE OZARKS (77MM) - An Edwards woman was airlifted from the 77MM after falling from a dock yesterday.

Laura Williams, 77, was assisting the operator of a 24-foot pontoon to dock near McKenna Villa when the incident occurred at 7 p.m.

While Williams held the pontoon from the dock, the vessel drifted causing her to fall into the water. When the operator reached the side of the pontoon Williams was floating facedown.

Neighbors responded to calls for help and administered CPR.

Williams was airlifted to Lake Regional Hospital in serious condition.
